"Yes, that's right, it's almost that time of the year again! The most wonderful time, Christmas!!! There is no better way than marking the start of the festive season with a mini photoshoot session with your loved ones, business colleagues or your trained up fury friend. That's right, we are so excited to meet your fury friend too!
Team Bohteak have been making a list and checking it twice, creating the most enchanting Mediterranean/Coastal Styled backdrop to satisfy and tick off, all of your dreamy photoshoot needs. With a focus on keeping our Christmas themed styling to a minimum, so that you can enjoy your images all year around. Creating bespoke & unique spaces at Bohteak is their passion, so you know you are in for a treat, with draping ivy & pink Jasmin scaling down the arched wall, nestle yourself inside the arch amongst the softest cushions by Hommey, just bring your smiles and leave the rest to us!
What's included?
- 10-minute mini session with Emily Rose Photography at Studio Bohteak (up to 10 family members + 1 dog allowed, per booking. Please contact us if you have any special requirements that need to be discussed before you book.)
- 5/10 high-resolution edited images
- Delivered to an online gallery you can share
- Delivered within 5 business days
Please make sure at the time of making your booking, you add the correct email and name; this is where your invoice and images will be sent to (check spam folders).
How can I book?
- Bookings will go live Sunday 1st of October at 7PM
- You will book a 15-minute time slot; this will ensure enough time for 10 minutes of shooting.
- You will then be invoiced by Bohteak. Full payment is required to be paid within 12 hours of receiving your invoice, if payment is not made within 12 hours, your preferred time slot will automatically open up for someone else to book that time.
How will the day run?
We will be running 10-minute sessions from 8AM-8PM with 5-minute breaks in between; this means it's really important to get to your session on time and come prepared.

Please keep in mind your session is short and sweet. I have found over the years, working with families and kids that short and sweet works perfectly for indoor sessions. In saying this, your session time cannot be extended. Please make sure that you come prepared, we make the following suggestions to best prepare you in making the most of your time with us, so that we can capture the best images for you.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time slot
- Phones away and on silent please
- Keys out of pockets
- Hair fixed
- Kids faces wiped and clean
- Buttons buttoned
Ways to prepare your family so that they are photoshoot ready!
- Dress your children and babies in a loose jumper or a different outfit when traveling to your Christmas Shoot. This prevents the photoshoot outfit from getting messy, on your way to your photo session.
- Arrive with plenty of time before your booked time slot. Tadra Coffee, will be serving coffees and a small array of treats, you can enjoy before or after your photography session with us.
- Plan ahead of time using Google Maps, there is on street parking out the front of Bohteak.
House rules
- Please wait outside of the building while other families are having their session.
- No food or drinks are permitted inside of the building
- If you choose to have your photo taken standing inside of the arch, you must take off your shoes. no shoes are permitted inside of our arch unless you are sitting down.
- No jumping or running inside of the arch. To protect your Childs safety we kindly ask that you please watch that your children don't do this.
- Please ensure you attend to your children at all times, as Bohteak will still be operating business as usual, and to also avoid disruption to the bookings in front of you.
- Please note, there will be no special editing, for example but not limited to - dirty fingernails, Apple Watches, iPhones in pockets; please make sure for a seamless image these are all taken care of before your session time.
things to know if you decide to bring your fury friend with you
- We kindly ask that if you decide to bring your fury friend, that they are well trained and friendly.
- only 1 dog per booking will be allowed to attend, unless prior approval has been pre-organised with Bohteak.
- Your fury friend must be on a lead at all times, please ensure you use your waiting time to take your dog for a quick stroll to go to the toilet as we have carpet in front of our display and respectfully ask that dogs, please stay away from this area to reframe them from any accidents.
- You are welcome to hold your fury friend in the photoshoot on your lap or sit beside you.
- To be respectful of everyone's allocated booking time if your fury friend is feeling anxious and we are unable to capture the photo with your pooch sitting still, we may need to ask that we take the image without your fury friend to avoid delaying the next booking.
What to wear?
First and foremost, this is your family picture, and I want you to be comfortable. If you're someone who would like assistance in wardrobe, it's always best to go by the three-color rule, e.g., brown, beige, white, and only one person in a pattern. Keep to neutral colours for an all-year image or Christmas reds and greens for a special holiday pop! SHOES matter: keep shoes neutral or go barefoot, avoid sports shoes and neon colours. Christmas PJs are also welcomed.
What if you're late?
We ask that everyone arrives up to 15-20 minutes prior to their allocated shoot time, as we can only provide each booking the 15-minute allocation time due to being considerate to the bookings after you. However, we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling or times where we can. This, however, is not guaranteed.
-No refund policy | If a booking needs to be cancelled, Bohteak must be advised 24 hours prior to your booking time; if you cancel your booking, you will be provided with a $295 Bohteak gift card.
-If the booking is cancelled without providing Bohteak 24 hours' notice or there is a no-show, you will forfeit the booking completely and no credit for your booking will be provided.
